“A Bona Fide Killer” Previews Kong Hyo Jin And Jung Jun Won’s First Encounter During The World Cup
MBC’s “A Bona Fide Killer” has released new stills ahead of its next episode!
Based on a hit webtoon, “A Bona Fide Killer” is an action drama about a working mother with a deadly job who is fighting to protect her work-life balance. Kong Hyo Jin stars as Yu Bo Na, the seemingly ordinary manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics, who is secretly the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.”

Previously in “A Bona Fide Killer,” a flashback showed Yu Bo Na discovering Kwon Tae Sung (Jung Jun Won) collapsed and bleeding, raising questions about the circumstances of their seemingly fated first encounter.
The newly released stills show Yu Bo Na and Kwon Tae Sung gathering at the same location for different purposes on the day of the World Cup eight years ago.
Yu Bo Na heads to a client meeting dressed as the perfect Korean football fan, from her red T-shirt to her headband. At Kingfisher’s signature sniping spot on a rooftop, Yu Bo Na confidently takes aim without hesitation.
Even after carrying out the assassination, she wears a composed smile. She had her own meticulous calculations for choosing the World Cup as the day for the meeting, hinting at where her rifle will be trained.
Meanwhile, Kwon Tae Sung rushes to the same location to cover pickpockets taking advantage of the excitement surrounding the World Cup. Displaying his passion for reporting and even baiting a pickpocket himself, Kwon Tae Sung is unexpectedly attacked. Eventually, Yu Bo Na finds Kwon Tae Sung collapsed and bleeding, marking the first meeting between the two, which only Yu Bo Na remembers.
Meanwhile, another still also captures Ki Young Do’s (Mu Jin Seong) interview for Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics. During the interview a gun is suddenly levelled at him, leaving him frozen with tension. It remains to be seen what prompted Ki Young Do to join Sales Team 3 and who is behind the weapon aimed at him.
Ki Young Do’s first meeting with Yu Bo Na will also be revealed. In the still, Yu Bo Na regards Ki Young Do with a relaxed gaze and warm smile, hinting at the reveal of their special bond.
The production team said, “The hidden story of Yu Bo Na and Kwon Tae Sung, whose lives become intertwined behind the cheers of the World Cup, will bring a different kind of tension to the drama. Please look forward to Yu Bo Na’s performance — a killer who acts according to meticulous calculations — and to Kwon Tae Sung’s past as he digs into the truth behind the case, as the two stories intersect.”
They added, “It will be interesting to see what led Ki Young Do, who currently supports Yu Bo Na more closely and dependably than anyone else, to join Sales Team 3, as well as how he first came to form a connection with Yu Bo Na. Please stay tuned for the first encounter between these two, where ferocity and warmth coexist.”
