Cube Warns Against Impersonation Fraud + Threatens Legal Action
Cube Entertainment has warned it will take legal action against impersonation of the company and the dissemination of false information.
On 3 July, the agency issued the following warning regarding impersonation fraud:
Hello. This is Cube Entertainment.
We have received reports that certain businesses have recently been spreading false information, falsely claiming to have obtained our approval to arrange performances by our artists in China, and are using these claims to solicit substantial investments from Chinese firms.
We wish to state that no such arrangements exist, and we urge you to exercise caution to avoid suffering losses as a result of these schemes.
Cube Entertainment will continue to take all necessary measures to protect the rights and interests of the company and its artists, and to prevent harm caused by the spread of false information or acts of impersonation.
Furthermore, if we identify any unauthorised use of our company name or our artists to spread false information, solicit investments, or enter into contracts, we will respond with robust legal action, including filing criminal complaints and civil lawsuits.
