Kim Ji Won Transforms Into A Genius Surgeon With No Margin For Error In “Doctor X”
SBS’s forthcoming drama “Doctor X” has shared its first detailed look at Kim Ji Won’s transformation!
Based on the hit Japanese series of the same name, “Doctor X” is a medical noir that follows Gye Soo Jung (Kim Ji Won), a brilliant surgeon who demonstrates what it truly means to be a doctor through skill alone as she operates within a corruption-ridden institution.
The newly released stills depict Gye Soo Jung exuding a powerful aura while wearing a black leather coat instead of a typical white doctor’s coat.
Gye Soo Jung is a surgeon dispatched by a doctor-for-hire agency who single-handedly dominates the hierarchy at the corrupt Guseo University Hospital through her unmatched skills. Her sharp gaze and charisma convey that she will not allow a single mistake in the operating theatre.
The production team said, “From the first day of filming, Kim Ji Won’s vocal tone, gaze and mannerisms were entirely Gye Soo Jung herself. It is to the point that we cannot imagine anyone else as Gye Soo Jung,” adding, “Please look out for the emergence of a medical antihero.”
