JTBC’s “Reborn Rookie” is a new series that follows Kang Yong Ho (Son Hyun Joo), the powerful chairman of the leading conglomerate Choiseong Group. After an accident, he unexpectedly finds himself living an unwanted second life when his soul is transferred into the youthful body of footballer Hwang Jun Hyun (Lee Jun Young), forcing him to start afresh as a junior employee at his own company.

Kang Yong Ho, now inhabiting Hwang Jun Hyun’s body, is seething with fury at the devastating betrayal by his eldest children Kang Jae Gyeong (Jeon Hye Jin) and Kang Jae Seong (Jin Goo). Convinced that they framed him for a hit-and-run and then tried to kill him, he is resolved to prevent them from inheriting Choiseong Group.
In his new identity as Hwang Jun Hyun, he sets out on a quest for revenge, fuelling the rivalry between the two siblings and achieving results that exceed his expectations. But his audacity leads to an unforeseen crisis: when Kang Jae Gyeong follows Hwang Jun Hyun and sees him racing, she grows suspicious of him.
However, newly released stills from the next episode suggest that their relationship is about to change. In stark contrast to the sharp, suspicious stare she once levelled at him, Kang Jae Gyeong’s demeanour towards Hwang Jun Hyun is strikingly different as she unexpectedly asks him for help. With their former adversarial dynamic absent, Kang Jae Gyeong’s expression is almost pleading as she grasps his arm and begs him for assistance.
