It’s not enough to just be at the level where people in Korea say, “Oh, your English is so good!!!”
You have to be truly native-level to break into the U.S. market.
Just as international students from Southeast Asia can’t get jobs at Korean companies just because they speak a little Korean, it’s the same with K-pop.
That’s why BTS is truly a miracle, they became global stars even though they don’t speak English like native speakers.
