[pann] THE AUDIENCE DEMOGRAPHY IN BTS US CONCERT
The tour kicked off at the Super Bowl Stadium in Tampa, Florida, and looking at the audience, it seems like a venue for a variety of race, age, and gender. There appear to be many families on vacation, and rather than an idol concert, it feels like a festival for everyone to watch, similar to the opening ceremonies of the Olympics or the World Cup, with incredible mass sing-alongs.

Tampa is not only a small city with a population of 400,000 and a wasteland for K-pop, but it is also a place where even pop singers like Beyonce and Post Malone can only fill one day. The fact that BTS is performing for three days in a stadium there means that their fandom has gone beyond being massive; they have become artists that everyone wants to see

BTS is now transitioning into a mainstream idol group in the US and Japan as well. With their fanboys continuously growing and attracting audiences of all ages, that is truly the path to a long-term success

Look at the reaction in Tampa locally ㅋㅋㅋㅋ BTS’ concert? More like a festival ㅋㅋ
and this single BTS concert is enough to blockade roads and bring daily life to a standstill.
The area near the venue will be controlled until 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 28.
K-pop superstars BTS are coming to Tampa to perform for three days, starting with the first show on Saturday.
Locals describe the scale of this event as Super Bowl-level.”

Watching the recent Bangtan concerts in Japan and the U.S., I noticed there were a ton of male fans. Back in the day, people used to say that K-pop was “g*y pop” because male idols wore makeup, looked pretty, and accessorized, and that white people didn’t like it. But I was really surprised by how diverse the crowd was, from athletic, macho guys to students, young men, and middle-aged guys

When I went to the U.S. concert, I realized it wasn’t just packed with male fans, it was a true melting pot of races, nationalities, and genders. It felt less like an idol concert and more like a full-blown festival. the crowd singing along was no joke

The number of male fans at Bangtan concerts has definitely gone up. If you look at TikTok or Reels, you can see that the number of male fans has really increased. Even among boy bands, there are some real ARMYs

Kim Seokjin wearing the Tampa team jersey was a work of God. Both the fans and the members were crazy. They were f*cking passionate
