Why did they use an inverted version of the Taegeukgi? It even features the “New Balance Seoul” logo. IU is a New Balance model too. Is she a global model for the brand? For which country? I heard Jang Wonyoung is the model for New Balance China, while Kim Yuna and Winter seem to be the models for the domestic market. In any case, any Korean would naturally feel uncomfortable with a design that displays the Taegeukgi upside down. There was also a huge uproar over the “6.25 infiltration” phrasing in an ISOI ad, and IU was the model for that as well.
