[theqoo] HOW FAR AHEAD WOULD YOU BE OKAY WITH A GROUP’S DISBANDMENT ANNOUNCEMENT?

1. Same day (e.g., disbanding starting today, contract ending today)

2. Within a week

3. Within a month

4. Within six months

5. One year in advance

I’ve experienced options 1, 3, and 5. I think each has its own pros and cons

1. Is a group planning their disbandment right now?

2. Even after the announcement of the disbandment, they have to release an album and hold a farewell concert, only then might we even consider letting them go. Anyway, that’s what was decided ㅠㅠㅠ

3. Getting a sudden notice without any time to mentally prepare would be absolutely devastating…

They should at least give us time to grieve…

4. Do it before the last concert

5. Ideally, they’d do a final concert after doing #4; at the very least, they should put out a final song, even just a digital single, so fans can get some closure if they’re gonna do #3. Isn’t that the decent thing to do?

6. If it’s time to end it, just end it. But at least give us a fan song or a concert

7. #4. Give us one last album and one last concert to wrap up our feelings invested all this time 

8. #4 and give us a concert too 

9. I’m just imagining #3 and I’m already pissed off. F*ck, just don’t disband 

10. #5 is giving me enough time to process the time we all spent together. I’ll spend half the year doing concerts, and use the other half to sort out my feelings. ㅠㅠ
