“An analysis of foreign card spending by visitors to Korea to attend BTS’s Gwanghwamun and Goyang concerts revealed that the impact far exceeded expectations.
Foreign visitors who came to the Gwanghwamun concert stayed for an average of 8.7 days and spent 3.53 million won, while those who attended the Goyang concert stayed an average of 7.4 days and spent 2.91 million won. These figures are significantly higher than the average stay duration and spending of general inbound tourists. Truly, a single concert revitalized the local economy.
