On 11 June, Eli took to Instagram to announce his remarriage and share wedding photos.

Eli made his debut in 2008 as a member of U-KISS. In November 2014, he married Ji Yeon Soo, a former racing model who is 11 years his senior, and they had a son. However, they divorced in 2020.
